Disclosures
The short version.
The full version lives in the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. This page summarizes the bits that matter most before you connect a brokerage.
Not a Registered Investment Advisor
Tally is not registered as an investment advisor with any regulator. Nothing on Tally — dispatches, Ask Tally answers, insights, plans, recap emails — is personalized investment advice or a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any security. All outputs are descriptive (what you did, what the math says) rather than prescriptive. Decisions are yours.
Not a Broker-Dealer
Tally cannot place trades. The connection to your brokerage, provided through SnapTrade, is read-only. Every trade you see referenced in Tally happened at your brokerage; Tally observes the result.
AI outputs can be wrong
A lot of Tally's surfaces are generated by AI using your own portfolio context. Models make mistakes. Verify anything that matters against your brokerage statements and your own judgment before acting on it.
Past performance is not a forecast
Where Tally references historical performance — yours, an index, or a comparison — that history is a description of what happened, not a prediction of what will. Markets move. Returns vary.
Data accuracy
Brokerage data is provided by your brokerage and delivered through SnapTrade. Market data is provided by third-party feeds. Both can be delayed, incomplete, or in error. Tally surfaces what it receives — we don't audit upstream data.
